With every passing year, America’s founding principles of freedom, individual liberties, and standards of the free-market become less central to the educational system teaching our children. Are you looking for an educational program to change this projection for your homeschooler?
Well, look no more! We understand the importance of educational choice outside of the current academic institutions, where parents can rest assured their student is receiving a robust quality education without hidden agendas.
Free Society Academics was created to teach students hands-on quality education surrounding core subjects, and the principles of freedom while valuing parental rights.

Educational Enrichment

Individual Attention
The classroom environment at FSA allows your students’ educators to give them the time and attention that they need in order to succeed. We believe in keeping class numbers low to maximum learning potential.

Hands-on Curriculum
Each student will explore core concepts taught through a hands-on approach. We believe this better prepares your child for a greater understanding and mastery of key standards.

Life Long Learning
We believe in equipping your students with the skills to be able to learn for the rest of their lives! By instilling in them a method of analytical thinking, we believe they will be able to be independent thinkers and be high performers in their chosen paths.
Courses

Mathematics
With ThinkWell Math students will emphasize problem solving skills and empower students to think mathematically, both inside and outside the classroom. ThinkWell offers students real-world application examples in both lectures and exercises. Pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, data analysis, probability, and some advanced math topics are included in this rigorous program.
Language Arts
Students will read and analyze both literary and informational texts. These texts take many different forms, including biographies, persuasive letters, novels, poems, and many more genres. The course’s reading selections demonstrate ways to understand explicit and implicit information, central ideas and key details, claims and arguments, theme, characters, plot, poetic techniques, and figurative language, among other ideas and concepts. Students will organize their ideas and prepare structured essays based on various topics. Students will learn and practice effective research techniques as they, prepare, complete and polish reports and essays. This course will also provide interactive activities, readings and PowerPoint presentations to extend learning beyond the textbook.

Social Studies
Students explain how major events are related to one another in time. Students construct various time lines of key events, people, and periods of the historical era they are studying. Students use a variety of maps and documents to identify physical and cultural features of neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries and to explain the historical migration of people, expansion and disintegration of empires, and the growth of economic systems throughout history.
Science
Science is an introduction to the basics of scientific thinking and investigation. In this course, students will learn how to make predictions, investigate and interpret data. These concepts will then carry over to where students will practice and use the scientific process. Areas of science include: basic life science, plant cell division and reproduction, plant classification systems, invertebrates and vertebrates, animal life cycles, and ecosystems; earth science, Lab investigations in astronomy, geology, meteorology, and environmental science; physical science, chemical reactions, forces and interactions, energy, waves, electricity, magnetism, and engineering design.

Speech/Debate
Beginning in 8th, our public speaking/debate curriculum is designed to give students an introduction in building confidence as public speakers and gain exposure to competitive speech formats. In this course, students focus on building fundamental skills such as tone, presentation, and gesticulation. Students will be exposed to impromptu speeches, interpretative speeches, and persuasive speeches. Our goal is to empower students to find their own voice as they study communication, organization and presentation skills.
